Moray, Maras and Salineras are three of the most interesting and unusual archaeological sites with incredible views of the Sacred Valley and the snow-capped mountains. This tour is particularly recommended for photographers, who can capture the different landscapes and essences of these interesting Inca sites.
Itinerary:
In this lovely one day tour we visit Moray, an unusual Inca ruins and then descend to Sacred Valley of the Incas, via the salt mines. (Departure time from Cusco 9am) We will pass along Chinchero & continue on to the village of Maras and then to Moray. A pre-Inca site, important used by the Incas, Moray is a series of agricultural terraces which were believed to be an experimental agricultural station for different crop strains. We will spend about one hour exploring these experimental terraces, then we’ll go to Maras town where we can see the traditions and cultures of this beautiful place. Afterwards we will go to Salt Mines. In this attractive place, you will have time to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. after, the tour ends, finally, we’ll return to the city of Cusco. The entire tour takes about 5 hours, that’s why we will be back to the city of Cusco approximately at 14:30.
